PAST PROJECTS
Here are a few examples of the kinds of projects I have worked on:
ARTS PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Crowthorne Summer Arts Week
I secured funding from Bracknell Forest Borough Council Extended Services, Wokingham Extended Services and the Edgbarrow School Community Grant, and set up and managed this project. Crowthorne Baptist Church provided the venue. Working with drama practitioner, Jane Turner, we ran some training for young leaders to help facilitate music and drama sessions, and then ran a week-long project for 9 - 14 year olds in August 2008.

Creative Partnerships (http://www.creativejunction.org.uk/)
Working as a Creative Agent on behalf of South Hill Park Arts Centre for Creative Junction. Creative Junction manages the Creative Partnerships programme in the Thames Valley.
Pilgrim Hearts Trust (http://www.pilgrimhearts.org.uk/)
Evaluation work - collating material, editing and writing up case studies on projects which Pilgrim Hearts have set up and run since 2000.
South Hill Park Arts Centre (http://www.southhillpark.org.uk/)
Working with South Hill Park Arts Centre on a co-production with The Wales Theatre Company of 'Macbeth Kill Bill Shakespeare', my job involved co-ordinating the education programme - liaising with the tour venues, organising the post show Q&A with the cast and dealing with local schools.

The Phoenix Neighbourhood Renewal Programme (http://www.phoenixhighschool.org/)
Between 2002 and 2007 I worked with a culturally diverse secondary school in West London, through a government funded regeneration programme. My role involved setting up and co-ordinating a range of arts projects and activities for the students, aged between 11 – 16.
Projects included:
· A month-long literature festival called ‘Dare to Read’
· Events for National Poetry day
· A residency by a ceramics artist
· DJ workshops
· Street dance workshops
· A garden sculpture project

Artsmark (www.artscouncil.org.uk/artsmark)
In 2005 I collated Phoenix High School’s successful application for Artsmark Silver to the Arts Council’s Artsmark scheme.

Youth Music (http://www.youthmusic.org.uk/)
In 2004 I co-ordinated a successful application for funding to Youth Music, and managed the resulting music technology project which ran in 3 schools in the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
junctionradio.com (http://www.oasistrust.org/)
Between 1999 – 2001, I was the Project Manager for a youth internet radio project called junctionradio.com set up by charities Oasis Trust and Compassion UK.
ARTIST MANAGEMENT
Jude Simpson - stand-up poet (http://www.judesimpson.co.uk/)
In early 2007, I began working with stand-up poet Jude Simpson, developing contacts with arts venues and literature festivals across the UK on her behalf. I developed a marketing strategy, booked gigs and a tour of her solo show 'Growing up Games', and helped to promote the show (Pleasance Courtyard) at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007.
ARTS EVENT MANAGEMENT
the space at St Paul's Hammersmith (http://www.sph.org/)
Between 2001 – 2004, I worked with a friend and fellow creative practitioner, Sarah Bastin, to set up a series of arts breakfasts and events at St Paul’s Church in Hammersmith. Arts breakfasts provided an opportunity for those involved with the arts and media to meet every couple of months for teaching and encouragement. Events included an art exhibition, featuring work by artists Charlie Mackesy, Angela Mcgahan, and photographer Dee Head, and an evening of music in a café setting.
